Richard "Dusty" Todd Switzer

Richard Todd “Dusty” Switzer, 53, of W. Center Street Extension, died Thursday, April 27, 2017, at his home.  The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Long and Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Paul’s Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.  Mr. Switzer was born April 1, 1964, in Brookville, PA, to Donald A. Switzer and Clara M. Crisman Bonnett. He was owner and operator of Diesel Works and T&R Hauling. He was a member at Paul’s Chapel Evangelical and Reformed Church where he served as an usher. He was loved by many people including his huge number of friends. He will be greatly missed.  Surviving in addition to his mother and stepfather Larry Bonnett of Lexington are his father of Pennsylvania; a son, Ryan Farmer; daughter, Tiffany Switzer and boyfriend Tobie Ticconi; grandchild, Presley Ticconi; brother, Bob Hallman (Nancy), Jeff Switzer (Linda); sister, Tracy Causey (Jeff); step-brother, Tim Bonnett (Louann); and many nieces and cousins.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Paul’s Chapel Cemetery Fund, 2791 West Center Street Extension, Lexington, NC 27295; or any area fire department.
