Sherry was born June 23, 1937, in Davidson County to P.W. and Vida Stabler. She graduated from North Davidson High School and went to work for Western Electric in Winston Salem as a purchasing agent where she worked until the plant closed. She loved gardening, playing cards, and visiting with friends and family. She enjoyed going to the beach and was recently surprised by a special family beach trip to her beloved Myrtle Beach, which is a heartfelt memory to all of us.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Bill and her brother Brent, and his wife Kathy.
Her life will be cherished by her daughter Shelly (Tim). She is also lovingly remembered by her brothers Mark Stabler and Gregg Stabler (Glenda); nieces Alexis Pollock, Jamie Stabler (Nate); Brooke Stabler Hutchins (Brandon); Megan Stabler Hill (Keith); Emily Hooper (Tim); nephews Jeremy Ammons and Davy Ammons; and several great nieces and nephews.
Our family would also like to express sincere and heartfelt thanks to her “Dream Team” at Medi Home Health; as well as her “Dream Team- The Sequel” from Hospice of Davidson County. Their unwavering kindness, love, and compassion are unmatched. We would also like to extend our warmest thanks to the countless family, friends, and neighbors who have encouraged and sustained us through this journey.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be sent to Center Church of Welcome, Hospice of Davidson County, or Medi Home Heath.
