Sylvan Rubin

Mr. Sylvan Rubin, 83 of Winston Salem, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010 at his home. A graveside service will be 11:00 am Friday, May 7, 2010 at National Cemetery of Salisbury. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel other times at the home. Mr. Rubin was born August 8, 1926 in Wilmington DE to Sam Rubin and Ida Miller Rubin. He was retired from Matrix Railway. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Loretta Teresa Sapanara Rubin. Sons; Robert J. Rubin and wife Tina of Shirley Long Island, NY, Joseph V. Rubin and Mary of Winston Salem, Michael Thomas Rubin of Winston Salem. Daughter; Laura Ann Ida Rubin and companion Kathy of Tampa, FL. Grandchildren; Christopher Sylvan Rubin, Robert Nicholas Rubin all of Winston Salem. The family would like memorials to be directed to: American Lung Association of North Carolina, P.O.
