Aden Tolbert Anderson

Aden Tolbert Anderson, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2016 A graveside service for family and friends with military honors will be held 11:00 am Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Lexington City Cemetery conducted by Rev. Eric Disher. Aden was born in Swain County, NC to Mr & Mrs S.W. Anderson. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Aden enjoyed bowling, playing golf and spending time with his family and friends. He brought a smile to all who were around him with his wit and humor. Aden is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margy Anderson, daughter, Glenda Morrison and husband David of Charlotte, NC and his son Jerry Anderson and wife Mavis of Lexington, NC. He is also survived by the love of his life, his granddaughter, Courtney Ycaza and husband Fernando of Charlotte, NC, his special niece Carol Black and husband Danny of Lexington, NC, sister in law Betty Myers of Lexington, NC, nephews Kenneth (Lisa), Bobby (Angie) and Mark as well as many other cherished family members. Aden's family would like to thank his breakfast buddies at Smiley's; Tom Brock, Tiny Church, Louise Freedle and the whole crew. The family would also like to thank Dr. Annick Desjardins and the staff at the Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke in Durham, NC and Dr. Eugene Paschold, Nurse Kerrie and the staff at Novant Oncology Specialist in Winston- Salem. Aden and his family were grateful for the love and support of family, friends and medical staff over the past year.
