Adrian Wayne Thomas Jr. "Tommy", 66, went to be with his Heavenly Father early Thursday morning, November 14, 2024. He passed away peacefully in his sleep while in his happy place in Little River, SC.
He was born February 11, 1958, in Forsyth County, to the late Adron Wayne Thomas Sr. and Janie Pipes Thomas.
Tommy was an active member of Friedberg Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, NC. He was an independent car dealer for many years and then owned and managed Midway Exxon with his father for over 20 years. He then worked for Friedberg Moravian Church as a caretaker and then finished his career as the Food Pantry Manager at Sunnyside Ministry in Winston-Salem.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Martha Shore Thomas; Daughters: Jessica Pearl Thomas Hunsucker (David) of Richmond VA, and Elizabeth Adrian Thomas Jordan (Joshua) of Cary NC; and four grandchildren, Clara Pearl Hunsucker, David “Tripp” Hunsucker III, Clay Thomas Hunsucker, and an expected grandson baby Jordan due in March. He is also survived by his mother, Janie Pipes Thomas of Winston-Salem, NC; his brother, Tony Thomas (Lisa) of Pleasant Garden, NC; his nephew, Dalton Pegram (Stephanie) and many close extended family members and wonderful friends. The joy of his life was his wife and family spending time at his vacation home in Little River, SC.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Friedberg Moravian Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall at Friedberg Moravian Church, all are welcome. A private burial will be held at a later date in God’s Acre at Friedberg Moravian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family would love donations to be made in Tommy’s memory to Friedberg Moravian Church or Sunnyside Ministries.
