Agnes Graham Knotts

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Agnes Graham Knotts, who departed from this world on August 8, 2025, in Lexington, North Carolina, at the age of 68. Born on July 10, 1957, Agnes lived a life marked by the love of her family, her grandchildren, and a deep devotion to her faith.

Agnes found joy in the simple pleasures of life, and she especially cherished spending time with her family. She was a devoted Christian and found solace and community in her local church.

Agnes was a woman who took pride in her family, ensuring they felt cherished, loved, and welcomed.

Agnes is survived by her loving family, including her daughters: Lynette Burgess, Jackie Eades (Lorenzo), Janine Knotts, and Elsie Eades; her sons: Janario Graham, Samuel Knotts, Abraham Knotts (Tara), Johnnie Knotts, Larry Knotts, Joshua Knotts, and Jaylynn Butler; sisters: Victoria Graham, Patricia Bethea, Yvonne Graham, and Bernice Graham; 20 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; special niece Desiree Barnett (Harold); and special friend Margie McKoy (James). Her legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband George Bernard Knotts Sr., her parents Johnny Henry Graham III and Annie Mae Taylor Graham, brothers: Oliver Graham, Anthony Graham, Johnny Graham IV, and Lydell Graham; and sisters: Brenda Bullock, Cornelia Graham, Annette Graham, and Gwendolyn Butler.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 18th, 2025, 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington, with a graveside service to follow at the Salisbury National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.

Agnes’s passing leaves a void in the lives of many, but her memory will be cherished forever. May she rest in peace.
