Aileen Shoaf Craver, 91, of Lexington passed away Saturday, October 13 at Lexington Health Care.
A funeral service will be 4 PM Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Mark Craddock and Rev. Misty Polston York and burial to follow at Maple Grove Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of a sister Elsie Leonard, 4094 West Center Street Extension.
Mrs. Craver was born on September 18, 1921 in Davidson County to Baxter and Lillian Reid Shoaf. She was retired from Dakota Cotton Mills. Aileen was a member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren. She was also a Rosie the Riveter girl during World War II.
Her parents and her husband Roby (Buck) Craver, four brothers, Reid Shoaf, Russell Shoaf, Woodrow Shoaf and Hulin Shoaf, three sisters, Lula Walser, Letha Walser and Ruth Lambeth preceded her in death.
Surviving are her sisters , Odessa Shoaf, Elsie Leonard, and friend Charlie Beckom; two special nieces, Diane Younts and Debbie Polston all of Lexington.
