Alan Charles Kalesnik, 48 passed away Wednesday morning, May 11, 2011 at his home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with Pastor John Langdon officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Parklawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Alan was born on February 20, 1963 in Ridley Park, PA to Stanley James Kalesnik, Jr. and Catherine Theresa (Tess) Kalesnik. He was preceded in death by his father who passed away on June 10, 2010 and a sister, Kasha McVeigh. He was an employee of Bob King Mazda and was co-owner of Second and Green Tavern in Winston-Salem. Surviving are his mother of the home; brothers, Stanley Edward Kalesnik, Frank Thomas Kalesnik and wife Carol of Lester, PA, George Edward Kalesnik of Kansas City, MO and James Edward Kalesnik of Winston-Salem; sisters, Lynda Marie McClory and Bethanne Kalesnik Cook and husband Joe of Winston-Salem; 5 nieces and 5 nephews, 10 aunts, 8 uncles and 4 great-nieces. The family would like memorials to be directed to Helping Hands Emergency Food Pantry, 1919 Surrett Dr., High Point, NC 27263. The family would like to say a special thanks to Alan’s friends and co-workers for their kindness during this difficult time.
