Albert Coleman

April 7, 1935 — February 20, 2012

Albert Coleman, 76, of Fairview Dr., Lexington died Monday February 20, 2012 at the Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington following an extended illness. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday, February 23, 2012, at Freedom Missionary Baptist Church with Preacher Clyde Akers, Revs. David Hedrick and Allen Smith officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery in Salisbury. The family will receive friends at the home. Mr. Coleman was born April 7, 1935 in Davidson County to Albert Coleman and Pearl Elizabeth Williams Coleman. He was a retired employee of Dixie Furniture and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Coleman proudly served in the U. S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Annette McFarland Coleman of the home; a son, Michael Coleman and wife, Donna of Tyro; step-son, Michael Harris of Lexington; step-daughter, Judy Hall and husband, Ernest of Trinity; three step-grandchildren, Tammy Allen and husband, Robert of Linwood, Brandon Tussey, Jeff Tussey both of Lexington; two brothers, Earl Coleman of Welcome, Gene Coleman and wife, Linda of Denton; four sisters, Ann Leonard and husband, Richard of Reeds, Myrtle Hatcher, Carey Koontz and Nancy Canady all of Lexington. Memorials may be directed to Hinkle Hospice House, 220 Hospice Lane, Lexington, NC 27292.
