Alberta Gillespie Goff

Alberta Gillespie Goff, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Lexington Health Care Center.  She was born March 9, 1936, in Surry County, NC to James and Lizzie Nichols Gillespie.  Alberta was of the Baptist faith and worked as an assembler at Lexington Furniture.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Myriam Leighton Goff, her first husband Daniel Harper Hobbs Sr., and her brothers Grady, Walter and J.B. Gillespie.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel Hobbs (Shannon) and Darrell Hobbs, both of Lexington, as well as her grandchildren, Jacob, Nathaniel, and Dylan Hobbs.

A graveside service to honor her life will be held at 2:00p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
