Alexandria Joanne Allen

Alexandria Joanne Allen, age 65 of Veterans Avenue, Lexington passed away Thursday (May 14, 2009) at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.  Memorial service will be at 3:00 pm Saturday (May 16, 2009) at United Full Gospel Church, with Brother Maston officiating.   Alexandria was born in Bernardsville, New Jersey August 5, 1943 to John Salvapore Donofrio and Florence Matero Donofrio.  She was a Catholic, a former employee of Lexington Furniture Industries at Plant 7, and later was employed with Rose’s.   She is survived by; her husband of 50 years, Peter Nelson Allen; three sons, John Allen-Johns and fiancee’ Lisa of Ellen Clinton Township, MI, Joe Allen and wife Jill of Lexington, and Peter Allen and wife Jen of Virginia; two daughters, Donna Hilbebrant and husband Bill and Romona Powell and husband James all of Lexington; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Roxanne Muzucco and husband Bernie and Phinny Santillo and husband Tooch all of Delaware; one brother, Joe Donofrio and wife Rose of Delaware.   A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday (May 17, 2009) beginning at 2:00 pm at the residence on Veterans Avenue, Lexington.       Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
