Alfred Judson Owen

Alfred Judson Owen, 82, of Burbank Drive, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at his home after being in declining health. A private burial will be held. Mr. Owen was born in Creedmoor on Oct. 4, 1926, to Bailey M. Owen and Virginia O'Dear Owen. He was a self-employed truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Irene Davis Owen, who died Jan. 29, 2002. Surviving are his two daughters, Juanita Loggins and her husband, John, and Joann Ireland, all of Lexington. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Randy Howe, Chad Ireland and Eric Ireland, and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home on 199 Burbank Drive.
