Alice James Rummage

Alice Williams James Rummage, 79 of Lexington passed away Tuesday July 26th at Brookstone Retirement Center. A funeral service will be held Thursday July 28th at 2:00 PM at Psalms 91 Church with Rev. Max Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her son, Donnie James, 1289 Perryman Rd. Mrs. Rummage was born in Davie County on August 11, 1936 to Spencer Franklin Williams and Martha Jane Ireland Williams. She was a former employee of Mid State Tile and a member of Psalms 91 Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband Lester James and 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Surviving are husband, Henry Roland Rummage of the home, sons Donnie James (Kathy) and Jerry James (Brenda) all of Lexington, stepchildren, Randy Rummage (Renee) Mark Rummage (Renee) and Angie Crenshaw. 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and brother Nathan “Rabbit” Williams (Joyce).
