Alice Kepley Watkins

Alice Kepley Watkins 70 of Sunnyside Drive, Lexington passed away Saturday September 1, 2012 at Hinkle Hospice House.   A funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday September 4, 2012  at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by  Rev. Roger Worley and Rev Eric Disher and burial to follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home.   Alice was born October 19 1941 in Davidson County to William Robert Kepley and Mattie Hancock Kepley. She was a homemaker and a member of Lexington Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Don, Paul  and Fred Kepley and sisters: Juanita Bruff and Norma Basil. Also preceding her in death a son, Tony Watkins and  grandson, Griffin Owens who passed away June 27, 2012.   Surviving are her husband of 49 years,  Gene Watkins  of the home.  One son, Bobby Watkins and his wife Rachel  and a daughter,  Allison Owens and her husband Rondall all of Lexington. Grandchildren: Samatha Watkins, Olivia Owens, Hayden Owens and Cody Bryant .
