Aliene Tuttle Essick

Doris Aliene Tuttle Essick age 85 of Essick Lane, Winston Salem passed into the more immediate presence of her Lord and Savior Saturday December 30, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center.   A funeral service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday January 2,  2018  at Hopewell Moravian Church where she was a member conducted by  The Rev. Walter C. Bishop and burial to follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel on Monday from 6-8 pm and at other times at Marcia home.     Mrs. Essick was born November 4, 1932 in Forsyth County to  V. Brice Tuttle and Eva McGee Tuttle. Her parents, husband, Fred Vernon Essick and a brother, Delmore D. Tuttle all preceded her in death. She was a caregiver and always saw the good in others. She was always happiest in her home.   Surviving are her children, Marcia (Jay) Cline, Farley Essick, Kevin Essick and Lisa Essick. Her grandchildren, Meredith Cline  and Bryce Essick. A  brother in law David Todd and a sister in law, Bernice Walser.   Memorials may be made to Hopewell Moravian Church 701 Hopewell Church Road, Winston Salem, NC 27127   Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
