Allen Bunton

Allen Carl Bunton of Lexington passed away, Thursday, May 23, 2024 at his home. A private graveside to celebrate his life will be held by the family. Allen was born November 4, 1933 in Avery County, to Clyde and Ruth Farthing Bunton. He worked for Burlington Furniture for many years and later retired from Commercial Carvings. He loved the outdoors and was a beekeeper. He was a proud veteran of the US Army and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. His wife, Gladys Estep Bunton, preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Angela Jones of Lexington; his brother, Fred Bunton (Mildred) of Sugar Grove; and his grandson, Matthew Jones. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or to Union Grove Baptist Church, 2295 Union Grove Church Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
