Allen Phillips

Silas Allen Phillips, age 71 of Helmstetler Road, Lexington passed away Saturday at his home.   Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Faith Chapel with Bishop Ronnie Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 Tuesday night and at other times at the home.   Allen was born March 15, 1942 in Watauga County, NC to Willie Hiram and Ruby Carlton Phillips. He was self employed owner of Allen Phillips Home Improvement for 40 years and a member of Faith Chapel. He was preceded in death by his parents.   Surviving are his wife; Sandra Yarbrough Phillips of the home; daughters, Michelle Epley (Jeff) of Lexington, Mary Leihenseder (Max) of Linwood; son, Michael Shane Yarbrough (Cathy) of Albemarle; grandchildren, Lindsay, Ashley Brooke, Ashley Ann, Brandon, Cathryn and Lena; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Tristan, Vanna and Isaac; sisters, Mary McGuire, Linda Mast, Martha Hawley and Christine Lewis all of Boone; brother, Johnny Phillips of Boone; and his beloved pet Bandit.   Online Condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
