Allen Willard Temple

Allen Willard Temple, 81, of Arden Road, died Sunday, February 28, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at First Alliance Church, where he was a member, with Pastor Paul Titus officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Tuesday, March 1, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. and other times at the home. Mr. Temple was born December 17, 1934, in Guilford County, to George Allen Temple and Bernice Lee Brady Temple. He was a technician for Lexington Motor Company prior to his retirement. At his church he served as a deacon and a greeter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Temple Shoaf. Surviving are his loving wife, Faye Ensley Temple of the home; sons, Mark Temple and Will Temple and wife Brandi, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Clay Temple, Staley Temple, Davis Temple, Eva Bella Temple, Kade Roach and Vivian Tysinger; brothers, Steve Temple and wife Carolyn of Lexington and Bob Temple of Murphy; sister, Linda Coppley and husband Joe of Lexington; and brother-in-law, Larry Shoaf of Lexington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Alliance Church, 1370 Arnold Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
