Alma Darlene Thompson, 67, of Pond Street in Lexington, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at her home.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, November 13th at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Doug McGee conducting services.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, those planning on attending service are asked to practice social distancing and wear a face cover.

Mrs. Thompson was born  November 2, 1953 in Davidson County to Howard Marks Putnam and Sallie Barbara Floyd Putnam. She was a member of Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Odell Floyd.

Surviving is her husband, Clyde Joseph Thompson of the home; two daughters, Kristina Thompson of Lexington and Katie Combs ( Brandon) of South Carolina; two brothers, Curtis Putnam (Linda) of Lexington and Eddie Putnam of Brown Summit; one sister, Ruth Ann Hill of Thomasville; and 4 grandchildren, Alex Lara, Carmen Lara, Joseph Thompson and Olivia Combs.

Memorials can be made to Arrington Heights Free Will Baptist Church 455 Freewill Circle, Lexington NC 27295.
