Alta Jeanette Disher

  Mrs. Alta Disher, 79, of Lexington died Saturday October, 28 at High Point Regional, surrounded by family after a short illness.   A funeral service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, October 31 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by Pastor Tammy Talbert. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and Monday evening beginning  6: pm at Tammy and Tim Roller’s home, 161 Jala Lane, Lexington.   Mrs. Disher was born March 27, 1938 in Caswell County to Charles Ray Holmes and  Florence Marshall Holmes. She was a home maker and a member of Stoners Grove Baptist Church. She was a gentle soul who was loved by all who knew her. Preceding her in death are her parents and  two brothers, Charles and Dermont Holmes.   She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Edwin Disher, of the home; her dughters Kelly Nelson, Tammy Roller and husband Tim, Robin Carroll and husband Chad, her sister Nellie Kirk and husband Dale, grandchildren, Courtney Roller (Joshua Tussey) of Thomasville, Matthew Roller of Greensboro, Madison Nelson, Christen Nelson and Mykenzie Carroll  all of Lexington.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pastor’s Discretionary Funds at Macedonia UMC, PO Box 190 Southmont, NC 27351.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
