Alva Young

Mrs. Alva Hege Young, 98, of John Young Rd, died Thursday, January 6 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 3pm Monday, January 10 at Forest Hill Memorial Park, by the Rev. Brian Alexander. The family will greet friends following the graveside service. Mrs. Young was born October 3, 1923 in Davidson County to Thomas W. Hege and Era Thomas Hege. She retired from Henry Link Furniture and was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Her husband, Jack Lloyd Young, her daughter, Karen Ann Hill, and her brothers, Delmer Hege, Desmer Hege, Henry Hege, Bryce Hege and Hawkins Hege, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Jodi Young Beeson of Lexington; her grandchildren, Christopher Lee Beeson, Jennica Beeson Prevette, Curtis Lane Beeson, Jr., and Johnny Dwyane Hill; and his great grandchildren, Briar Ellis Hunt, Joshua Andrew Prevette Jr, Langley Scout Prevette, Sophia Nicole Beeson, Charlie Jerry Beeson, Curtis Lennon Beeson, and Renly Jack Beeson. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Center Hill Baptist Church, 3759 NC Highway 8, Lexington NC 27292.
