Alvin Raymond Everhart

October 12, 1955 — November 17, 2024

Mr. Alvin Raymond Everhart, age 69, of North County Home Road, Lexington, was peacefully invited into heaven at his home on Sunday, November 17, 2024. A beloved husband, brother, stepfather, and friend, Mr. Everhart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service to celebrate Alvin's life will be held 2:00 pm Friday November 22,2024 at Davidson Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Johnson officiating services.  A visitation with family and friends will be held at 1:00 pm in the chapel prior to the service.

Born in Davidson County, Alvin was the son of the late David Lewis Everhart and Peggy Nell Dancy Everhart. Alvin was a carpenter and was known for his boundless energy and zest for life, reflected in his passion for competitive marathon running, his love of antiquing, and his meticulous craftsmanship in restoring vehicles. Alvin’s many interests and talents made him a joy to be around and a source of inspiration for those who shared his passions.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Peggy.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Pat “Zoobie” Anne Harden Everhart, of the home; his brothers, David Larry (Ann) and Michael Lewis (Jamie); his sister, Jo Lynn Everhart Tysinger (Jim). He also leaves behind cherished nieces, Kayla (Daniel) and Xandria; nephews, Travis Tysinger (Brooke), Dustin Tysinger (Kristen), and Braden; and stepchildren, Jessie Smith (Destiny) and Jillian Luth (Greg); step-grandchildren, Taft, Tucker and Bubba J; and Alvin’s loyal companion, his dog Gizmo, will also miss him dearly.

Alvin’s family wishes to thank all those who have extended their love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in his memory to CJD Foundation (online) and Hospice of Davidson County 200 Hospice Way Lexington NC 27292.

The family would like to send out a special thank you to the hospice staff; Jennifer; Charity; Tiffany; Lori; Abby, and Chaplain Miranda.
