Alvin (Al) Wayne Tolley 70, Lexington was born in Winston-Salem, NC on December 14,1953 to the late James E. Tolley and Margaret Stout Tolley he was preceded in death by his late wife, Pamela Smith, daughter, Heather L.Tolley brothers, James L. Tolley (Loretta), Larry E. Tolley, Donald J. Tolley, David T. Tolley, Stephen E. Tolley, grandchildren Breanna Floyd (Kevin) and Andrew Tolley (Heather).
He is survived by his sons Brett Tolley (Lexington) and Kevin Tolley (Amanda) grandchildren Felicia Brookshire, Gavin Tolley (Kevin) and brother Jack Tolley (Toby) and sisters Patricia Glenn (Russell) of Winston-Salem and Tammie Tate of Orlando
Alvin also leaves behind his special family, girlfriend Wanda Jones, Kayla and Jordan Hudgins and Riley,Landyn and Harrison Hudgins that he loved so dearly and many nieces and nephews
Alvin graduated from Parkland High School in 1971, and he retired from RJ Reynolds. He attended Rural Hall Christian Church; he loved sports and anything involving the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. He was also a very talented musician and could sing as well as play several instruments including the banjo that he played on the road with gospel group the Boyd Brothers, as well as leading his own Magnum country band!
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, October 14, 2024, in the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.
