Amanda Tysinger Hodge, age 39, of Giles Road, Lexington passed away Monday morning (April 18, 2011) after a two year battle with Leukemia.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday (April 23, 2011) in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, Lexington with Pastor Dave Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home following the service.
Amanda was born in Davidson County, February 15, 1972 to Horace Mozell Tysinger and Marion McMahan Tysinger. She was a graduate of West Davidson High School, Class of 1990. She had worked as a Paralegal and was most recently an employee of Wal-Mart Store on Highway 150.
Surviving are one daughter, Marianna Hodge and special friend, Petie Callahan; one son, Mitchell Hodge; her parents, Horace Mozell “Pete” Tysinger and Marion McMahan “June” Tysinger, both of Lexington; two sisters, Carla Baker and husband, Tom, of Mocksville, Sandie Chappell and husband, Jamie, of Lexington; four nephews, Matthew Burchette, Mark Everhart, II and wife, Tiffany, Randall Burchette and Andrew Baity; one niece, Torrey Chappell; one great-nephew, Blaze Everhart.
