Amber "Nikki" Hawks

Amber Nicole “Nikki” Hawks, passed away December 5th at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday at Smith Grove Baptist Church with Pastors Terry Smith and Michael McDaniel officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington. Nikki was born in Rowan County on November 17, 1984.  She attended DCCC and was formerly employed with Cagney’s Restaurant and a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church.   She was preceded in death by her grandmother Mattie Hawks. Surviving are her parents, mother, Cindy Smith (Terry); father, Eddie Hawks (Yvonne) of Lexington; daughters Peyton Hawks, Gracie Cope, Madison Hawks and Kaycee Hawks, sister Kailee Powers (Daniel) of Linwood, stepbrothers, Shaun Smith(Angie) and Josh Smith all of Linwood, grandparents, Kenny and Sandra Lanning of Linwood, Gurnie Hawks of Lexington; uncles, Kenny Lanning, Jr. and Woody Lanning of Linwood; nephews, Ryder Fine, Jonathan Powers and niece Chloe Fine and her significant other, Jeremy Sink, of Winston Salem.
