Amelia Kay Lanning

Amelia Kay Lanning, age 54 of Waitman Road, Lexington passed away Tuesday morning, June 13, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, in Winston Salem. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, June 15, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Ray Howell, III officiating. Burial will follow at Reeds Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church parlor from 1:30 until 2:30 PM prior to the service. Amelia was born in Cabarrus County, NC November 27, 1962 to Donald Lee Lanning and Gale Musgrave Lanning. She was a member of First Baptist Church; a graduate of West Davidson High School and a former employee of Lexington Furniture. Surviving are her parents, Don and Gale Lanning of Lexington; her brother, Nathan Lanning and wife Angela of Charlotte; her nephew, Nathan William Lanning of Charlotte.
