Amy Sue Shaw Holmes

Amy Sue Shaw Holmes, 67, of Lexington, passed away August 4, 2024, at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 9, 2024, at Grace Missionary Alliance Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Tim Higgs officiating. The family will see friends from 5-7 pm Thursday night at Davidson Funeral Home.

Amy was born November 21, 1956, in Davidson County, to R.J. (Smiley) Shaw and Mary Jacqueline Eastep Shaw. Amy was a devoted member of the church and the church family, having served as Sunday School Teacher at the church, caring for each child as if it was her own. She was always concerned for others by always calling and making sure they were ok. Her favorite color was purple, and she loved making flower arrangements. Her passion was her faith, church, family.  Amy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be missed by all.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Dale Holmes of the home, son, David Paul Prock of Lexington, sisters, Gwen Younts of Lexington, Rose Mary Ramsey of Gastonia.
