Andrew Franklin Weaver

Andrew Franklin Weaver, 86, of Helmstetler Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at his home after several years of declining health. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Wayne Knight. Military graveside rites will be presented by Randolph Memorial Honor Guard. Mr. Weaver was born March 19, 1922, in Davidson County to Grady Lee Weaver and Emma Young Weaver. He was a retired mechanic with Roadway Express, served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Reeds VFW. Preceding him in death were his wife, Racie Lanning Weaver, Dec. 20, 2006; a brother, Mock Weaver; a half brother, Claude Young; and a sister, Arlene Atkins. Surviving are a daughter, Judy Everhart of Lexington; three grandchildren, Jennifer Branch, Teddy Eller and Robert Eller; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Willie Weaver of Lexington. There will be no formal visitation, but the family will receive friends at the home.
