Andy “Andyman” Preston Sensabaugh, age 91, passed away on March 28, 2026.
Born on April 26, 1934, in Rockbridge County, Virginia, Andy was the son of the late James Robert Sensabaugh and Elsie Riley Sensabaugh. He lived a long and full life, marked by his love of simple pleasures and the people he held dear.
Andy enjoyed NASCAR racing, fishing, attending bluegrass festivals, and spending time with his precious cat, George, who brought him great comfort and companionship.
In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye Allen Sensabaugh; his second wife, Grace Sensabaugh; his brothers, Amos Walter Sensabaugh, Buck Sensabaugh, Otho Sensabaugh, and Robert Sensabaugh; his sisters, Mary Beard, Fannie Ayers, and Sally Smith; and his cherished in-laws, Eugene Allen, Ben Allen, Clinton Allen, James Allen, Hugh Allen, Norris Allen, Maxine Strange, Jettie West, Margaret Welborn, and Judy Pardue.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Carol Senick (Michael); his step-sons, Ronnie Sherron and Carlton Sherron; and several special friends and loved ones, including Rena and Chris Steed, Dan and Ann Allen, Spencer Livengood, and Brandon Spencer.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who provided care, support, and friendship to Andy throughout his life.
A funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Friday April 3rd 2026 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. David Langley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends one hour before service.
Andy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
