Angela Kimsey

Angela DeVito Kimsey, 51, of Tussey Road in Lexington went to be in GOD’S care on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Lexington Medical Center.   Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Pastor J. C. Miles officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.  The family will visit with friends from 12:30 until 2:00 pm prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home.   Angela was born on December 19, 1966 in Davidson County to Thomas DeVito and Glenda Lambeth DeVito.  She was employed by Davidson County Senior Services for 23 years where she was Employee of the Year and received numerous awards and recognition from State and local agencies for her contributions in her career with the aging.  She had a heart of gold and loved lending a helping hand to anyone in need.  Angela was dearly loved by many in her church family and in the community.  She was preceded in death by her father.   Surviving is her loving husband of the home, Laurie Nelson Kimsey; mother, Glenda Lambeth DeVito; sister, Tammy DeVito; stepdaughter Laurie Kimsey Mitchell (Matt); grandsons, Luke Alexander Mitchell and John Maddox Mitchell all of Thomasville; a very special aunt, Mary Ruth Grant, and host of cousins.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1448 E. US Hwy 64, Lexington, NC 27292.
