Anita Swing Hunsucker

Anita Swing Hunsucker, 74 of Riverside Dr., Lexington died Monday, November 16, 2009 at her home after a sudden illness. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday at Second United Church of Christ with Dr. Joe D. Coltrane officiating. Mrs. Hunsucker was born March 13, 1935 in Davidson County to Clarence Theodore Swing and Vannie Smith Swing. A retired Bookkeeper for the Asheboro City School System, she was a member of Second United Church of Christ. She was well known for her gardening, quilting, sewing, her love for her grandchildren and loved singing in the choir. Preceding her in death was her husband, Wilbert Leonard Hunsucker, February 9, 2007, and a granddaughter, Raleigh Hunsucker. Surviving are a son, Leonard Mark Hunsucker and wife, Tina of Greensboro; a daughter, Penny Thomson and husband, Mike of Lexington; four grandchildren, Daniel Hunsucker, Emily Hunsucker, Zachary Thomson, Lucas Thomson; two brothers, Bill Swing of Chapel Hill, and Bernard Swing of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME and other times at the home.
