Ann "Sue" Joyce Alexander, 78, of Winston-Salem, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed peacefully into heaven on August 29, 2022. Sue was born to the late Charles and Rebecca Stanley on July 7, 1944. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband of 42 years Terry Joyce, a brother, Charles, sisters, Louise, Maxie, Dallie, and Deloise. She is survived by husband, Meredith "Al" Alexander, two sons, Jeff Joyce (Christy) and Steve Joyce, six Grandchildren, (Zachary Joyce, Madison Spivey, Lindsay Joyce, Corey Joyce, Kayla Joyce, and Emma Joyce), two stepdaughters, Jennifer Hedinger (Joe) and Sheila Roark (Jon), and 4 step-grandchildren, (Megan Hendrickson, Allison Hedinger, Aleah Hedinger, and Kendal Roark). Sue is also survived by her sister, Rose Pierce. Sue retired from RJ Reynolds and was a member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church singing soprano in the choir for the past 30 years. She will be remembered by her beautiful smile and her gift of giving to and serving others through her family, church, and extended community with her passion for mission trips. The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Mallard Ridge Assisted Living and Davidson County Hospice for excellent care over the past two years. Visitation will be held at Oak Forest United Methodist Church in Midway Saturday, September 3, 2022, at (12:00 pm) followed by the celebration of life (1:00 pm) and internment at the church.
