Ann Lemly Owen, 82, of Shirley Road, Lexington died Tuesday, August 30 at Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, September 3 at Antioch Baptist Church, by the Revs. Roy Queen and Bill Freeman. Burial will follow at Holloways Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service and other times at the home of the daughter on Tom Briggs Road, Lexington.
She was born April 17, 1934 in Davidson County to Artless Garland Lemly and Dovie Annie Warfford Lemly. She retired from Lexington State Bank and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Her husband, David Wayne Owen, preceded her in death; as well as her brothers, Reather Lemly, John Lemly, A.G. Lemly, Jr., Claude Lemly, Paul Lemly, and Raymond Lemly; her sister, Mary Belle Lemly; and her granddaughter, Rachel Beth Rodgers. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her daughter, Belinda Rodgers (David) of Lexington; granddaughter, Sarah Ann Rodgers of Lexington; and her brothers, Leroy Lemly of Southmont, and Carl Lemly of Lexington.
