Ann Presnell Wilson

Mrs. Ann Presnell Wilson, 93, passed away Wednesday Feb. 22. 2023 at Hospice of Davidson County, Lexington, N.C. Although  there only a short time she received the most compassionate care, of which we are deeply grateful.

Ann was born in Watauga County. on June 14th, 1929. She was preceded in death by her husband Herb Wilson, her Mother & Father, Bertha & Valentine Presnell, five brothers and one sister.

In her earlier years Ann loved to sing, play the guitar and performed songs for  a  radio station.

She also enjoyed cooking, attending Freedom Baptist Church, visiting family, friends and shopping.

Ann is survived by her daughters, Linda Barkley (Bob) of Spout Springs Va.  Teresa Powers (David)of Thomasville, N.C. & one son Randy; six grandchildren, John Phillips Jr. (Maribeth) of Asheboro, N.C., Owen Phillips (Hailey) of Raleigh, N.C., Adam Barkley (Deborah) of Forest, V.A., Autumn Joy of Appomattox, V.A., Olivia Grace, and Derrick Swing (Erica) of Asheville, N.C.; eleven great-grandchildren, Kora, Kepley, Kallen and Klaire Phillips, Oliver and Harper Phillips, Benjamin and Lydia Barkley, Xavier, Kaylin and Danielle Alexander; and two great-great-grandchildren, Emerson and Elijah Alexander. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special nieces, Lois Evans and Maxie Presnell, her long time friend Judy Bailey and Debra Walser, Debra provided exceptional care of Ann for several years of which we are most appreciative.

A graveside service will be held at National Cemetery, Salisbury, N.C. on Monday, February 27 ^th , 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
