Anna Jo Hill “Ann” Prevette, 79, of John Lookabill Road died Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem after two years of declining health.
A funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Robert Beckom. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at The Rocky Acres Music Barn.
Ann was born November 28, 1935, in Wise, Va., to Claude Richard Hill Sr. and Nola Salyer Hill. She was a devoted wife to Andy Lawrence Prevette for 52 years. Ann was retired from Owens-Illinois Corporation and co-owner of The Rocky Acres Music Barn where she and her husband hosted many benefits, square dancing activities on Monday evenings and other wholesome family entertainment for over 25 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brothers, Claude Richard Hill Jr., Doug, Kenneth, and Bobby Hill.
Surviving are her loving husband of the home; and sisters, Christine Harris, Patricia Britt (Bill), and Linda Everhart (Larry) all of Welcome.
Memorials may be made to the Silver Valley Civitan Club or to Special Olympics of Davidson County.
