Mrs. Greene was born June 22, 1934 in Rowan County to Charles Henry McNeill and Anna Ramsey McNeill. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband of 52 years, Hugh E. Greene and sister, Jeanette Kennedy.
Anna was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She was an accomplished quilter, and enjoyed reading in her downtime. Possessing a true servant’s heart, she faithfully cared for family and friends through her exceptional cooking and baking, and was always the gracious host offering a listening ear, warm smile, and a heart for others. Anna was a longtime member of Meadowview Reformed Presbyterian Church and exemplified a true Proverbs 31 woman; virtuous, faithful, hard-working, morally and physically strong, generous and charitable.
Left to cherish precious memories are her two sons, John “Randy” Greene (Jane) of Florida, Greg Greene (Karen) of Lexington and daughter, Janet Kennedy of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, Shannon Greene (Marissa) of Hampton, Virginia, Jared Greene of Florida, Sarah Kennedy (Brandon) of Charleston, SC and Anna Greene of Clemmons; and 2 great-grandchildren, Finley and Cora Greene.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meadowview Reformed Presbyterian Church, One Grace Way Drive, Lexington, NC 27295 or to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC, 27292.
