Anna Marie Carter Sanders, 75, of Piedmont Christian Nursing Home, formerly of Davidson County, died Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Hinkle Hospice Home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014, at Friendship United Methodist Church with the Rev. Doug Pryor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
Mrs. Sanders was born June 7, 1939, in Cumberland County, to Willie Wesley Carter and Ninnie Redwine Webb Carter. She was formerly employed in the spinning department of Klopman Mills. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by son, Billy Ray Sanders; and sisters, Wilma Jean Loden and Mary Helen Cox.
Surviving are sons, James Randall Sanders and wife Linda of Chadboro, and Danny Sanders and wife Brandi of Thomasville; daughters, Joyce James and husband Kim of Lexington, and Lisa Kay Sanders of Clemmons; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, William “Billy” Wesley Carter of High Point, Anthony George Carter of Denton; half brothers, Jerry Redwine and Dallas Redwine, both of Thomasville; half sisters, Linda Carver of Thomasville, Julie Simmons of Texas.
