Anna Everhart Snellings, 89, of Easter Rd, died Saturday, September 17 at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 4 pm Tuesday, September 20 at Beulah United Church of Christ by the Rev. Trudy Irving. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary and other times at the home of Vickie and Mike Perrell of Bethesda Road in Welcome.
Mrs. Snellings was born February 2, 1927 in Davidson County to David Lawrence Everhart and Myrtle Everhart Everhart. She was the former co-owner of Snellings Oil Co. and a member of Beulah United Church of Christ. Anna loved to sing and was a faithful member of the church choir as long as her health permitted. She loved to walk at Grimes Park with her special friend, Barbara Owens. She also loved to work outside in her yard and always had a smile on her face. Anna was a giving and loving person to all who met her. She especially loved spending time with friends and family. Her husband, Jim Douzier Snellings, preceded her in death, as well as her brothers, James W. Everhart and John Reid Everhart, and her sister, Jackie E. Bailey.
She is survived by her special niece, Vickie E. Perrell (Mike) of Welcome; her special nephew, Kent Everhart of Glade Valley; special great-nephew, Todd Perrell (Donna) of Welcome and their children; sister in laws, Myrtle Everhart, Hattie Snelling, and Gerry Smith(Ron); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
