Annette Byerly Odom

September 13, 1967 — June 25, 2021

Annette Lynn Byerly Odom, age 53 of Lexington, passed away Friday, June 25, 2021 at High Point Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 29 th at Reeds Baptist Church with Pastor Henry Waterson and Cole Dellinger officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, June 28 th at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and other times at the home.

Mrs. Odom was born September 13, 1967 in Forsyth County to David Lee Byerly and Wanda Hedrick Byerly. She was employed at Thomasville Medical Center for 29 years as a labor/delivery pediatric nurse.  Mrs. Odom loved to sew and quilt, read books and her Bible.  She was a devout Christian and was a member of Reeds Baptist Church where she served with the Sisters in Christ ladies ministries.  She was a caring and devoted friend to everyone and also loved animals.  Giving her support to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Tinman/Mended Little Heart CHD support group and volunteering with Ronald McDonald House meant a lot to Ms. Odom.  She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother (Mimi).  She will be missed by everyone and her memory carried in our hearts forever.  She was preceded in death by her father, David Lee Byerly.

Surviving are her husband, Dale Odom, of the home; son, Caleb Odom (Miranda); daughter, Ashlynn Odom; mother, Wanda Byerly King (Larry); grandchildren, Braydon and Ophelia Odom; brother, Danny Byerly; 2 nieces, Leighanna and Delanna Byerly and her fur baby, Luca Brown Odom.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Piedmont Triad, Inc., 419 S. Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103
