Annette Stone Vestal

Annette Stone Vestal, 76, completed her life’s journey early Monday morning September 18, 2017, at Forsyth Medical Center. A 12:00 p.m., Memorial service will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel with Pastor Ken Harris  officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Annette was born July 15, 1941 in Booneville (Yadkin County) the daughter of Charles Darius Wilkerson Stone and Lucille Ruth Wagoner Stone. She graduated from Booneville High School. Annette was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and a longtime nursey worker. In addition she retired from Chemcraft as a purchasing agent. Previously she was employed Spruance Southern. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Joseph Vestal.  Annette is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jay Lee Vestal Sr., of the home; two children, Jay L. Vestal Jr. and wife Linda of Gibsonville and Sandra Williard and husband James Gregory “Greg” of Kernersville; her brother Charles Stone and wife Pat of Yadkinville; two sisters Brenda Stone Estep and husband Steve of Charlotte and Darlene Stone Moore and husband Sam of Greensboro; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Steel of Summerfield. Annette was a faithful servant, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be sent to The American Cancer Society, 4 Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, 27407. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
