Annie Hill Briggs

Annie Hill Briggs, age 95 of Hunters Way, formerly of Cotton Grove Road, Lexington passed away Friday morning June 17, 2016 at her home. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 20, 2016 at Second Presbyterian Church, where she was a member with Rev. Brian Rummage officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Annie was born in Davidson County, May 14, 1921 to Albert Lindsay Hill and Mary Ann Katen Hill. At the church she was a member of the Women of the Church and was awarded by the Presbyterian Women the Lifetime Achievement Award and was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 67 years, Archie Briggs in 2008; brothers, Henry and A.L. Hill, Jr.; half-sister, Mollie Gallimore; half-brothers, Gilmer Brown, Irvin and Edward Hill. Annie was survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank The Life Center and her caregivers for all their love and care given to Annie during her period of declining health.
