Annie Cook Burns passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at Hinkle Hospice Home with her family by her side. A funeral service will be held at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, July 11 at 11: am by Preacher Clyde Akers. The family will receive friends from 10: to 11: am prior to service at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, NC. Annie was born July 30, 1931 in Swain County to Norman and Julia Sutton Cook. Annie retired from Dixie Furniture and attended Freedom Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mack Burns, daughter Vickie Burns and infant son Eddie Wayne Burns. She is survived by Three sons; Harold Burns (Ann), Ray Burns (Martha), Mike Burns (Sharon), two daughters; Patsy Burns (David), Sandra Michael (Carl), four Grandchildren; Melissa Blackburn, Jon Burns, Ashley King and Chase Blackburn. Five Great Grandchildren; Jackson Blackburn, Emma Grace Burns, Cooper Burns, Lillie Burns and Hunter Burns.
