Annie Holleman

July 27, 1915 — April 30, 2013

Annie Lou Roberts Holleman, 97, of Forest Hill Road, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Hinkle Hospice House. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Marler and Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Holleman was born July 27, 1915, in Wilkes County, to Reynolds Roberts and Lessie Money Roberts. Mrs. Holleman was a member of Wayside Baptist Tabernacle and an avid gardener. She enjoyed canning and freezing season and being able to help her friends and neighbors with their vegetables also. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Glenn Holleman, who died April 4, 1989; a daughter, Carolyn Ann Hale; grandchild, Jeffrey Holleman; brothers, Grady Roberts and Leo Roberts; and sister, Doretha Morrison who died April 24, 2013. Surviving are sons, Earl Holleman (Rachel) of Concord, Harold Holleman (Lois) of Virginia Beach, Va.; daughter, Gail Johnson (Jim) of Virginia Beach, Va.; six grandchildren, Todd Holleman (Kelli), Delette Brown (Ashley), Chris Holleman (Andrea), Stephanie Acosta (Carlos), Cheryl Weaver (Ray) and Timothy Hale; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon and Morgan Holleman, Ashton and Chloe Brown and Samantha Calvert; and brothers, Bill Roberts (Betty) of Lexington, and J.R. Roberts, (Nannie) of Welcome. Memorials may be made to Wayside Baptist Tabernacle, 106 Forest Hill Road, Lexington, NC 27295 or to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292
