Annie Coggins Lanier age 85 of Mt. Moriah Dr., Lexington died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Hinkle Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 18, 2011 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ethan Woodward officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Denton. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Monday, prior to the service.
Mrs. Lanier was born March 24, 1926 in Davidson County to William Cicero Coggins and Ila Cline Coggins. She was a retired Owner/Operator of Ann’s Beauty Shop and was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her husband, Bernard Watson Lanier, November 30, 1980 and a son, Steve Watson Lanier.
Surviving are a son, R. Craig Lanier and wife, Terry of Lexington; a daughter, Bernadine Parks and husband, C. Randall of Lexington, three grandchildren, Jill Zueger and husband, Nick, Kevin Parks and wife Deanna, Casey Lanier and wife, Tasha; great grandchildren, Alex, Anna and Payton Lanier, Will, Caroline, and Ashley Zueger; one brother, Jessie Coggins and a sister, Jettie Corriher both of Albemarle and a sister-in-law, Clara Coggins of Danville, VA
