Annie Williams Lanning, age 103, of North NC Highway 150, Lexington passed away Thursday afternoon at Hinkle Hospice House.
Funeral service to celebrate her memory and honor her life will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday (February 16, 2014) at First Pentecostal Holliness Church with Rev. J.C. Miles and Rev. Wayne Knight officiating. Burial will be Monday morning at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 until 3:00 pm prior to the service.
Annie was born in Davidson County, February 26, 1910 to Robert Lee and Laura Alice Snider Williams. She was a retired employee of Family Dollar Store. She was the oldest member and charter member of First Pentecostal Church and was dedicated to the mission work of the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Roy (Boney) Lanning in 1995.
Surviving are; a niece, Louise Ayers of Lexington; nephew, Phil Solloway of Plant City, FL; great-nieces, Susan Ayers, Betsy Knowles,, Nancy Ayers, Enid Wells and Laura Pilcher; great-nephews, Ken Ayers, Jr., Michael and Stephen Cope; several great-great and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
