Annie Mae Yountz

Annie Mae Jarvis Yountz, 94, of The Brian Center in Lexington, died Sunday, July 8, 2012, after an illness of three weeks. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Karen Roberts. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Ms. Yountz was born Aug. 5, 1917, in Davidson County to Edward Jarvis and Sallie Hege Jarvis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aurthur Lee Yountz, as well her parents and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are four sons, Wayne Yountz and wife Judy of Welcome, Robert Yountz of Winston-Salem, Roger Yountz of Trinity and Donnie Yountz of Southmont; three daughters, Sylvia Dawson and husband Samuel of Deep Run, Diane Haynes and husband Danny of Reedy Creek and Lois Love and husband Phil of Welcome; one sister, Dorothy Gobble of Thomasville; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
