Annie Mae Forshee Morris, 89, of Lee Ave., Lexington, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2014 at Lexington Health Care after five years of declining health.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. William B. Shrout, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morris was born April 29, 1925 in Davidson County to John Ira Forshee and Dora Essie Davis Forshee. She was a graduate of Linwood High School, a member of Second United Church of Christ and was a retired Secretary for the Engineering Dept. of R.J. Reynolds Co. Her husband, Vernon Smith Morris preceded her in death June 13, 2005 and a granddaughter, Meredith R. Everhart, two brothers, Walter Forshee, Frank Forshee, six sisters, Mable Shore, Ruth Kemmons, Maggie Everhart, Saddie Swing, Nellie Brown, and Irene Bennett.
Surviving are a son, David Smith Morris (Jeannine Miller) of Rockwell; a daughter, Saundra Kay Morris Everhart (John) of Lexington; a grandchild, Stan S. Everhart (Penny) and a great grandchild, Spencer S. Everhart.
