Annie Lee Wilson Napier, 73, of Marion Circle, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva after several weeks of critical illness.
The funeral will at 2 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. Wade "Bud" Powell. Burial will be in Snider Cemetery in the Churchland community.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Alamance County on Aug. 27, 1933, to John Luther Lee Sr. and Mabel Shelton Lee. She was a retired employee of Backcountry Barbecue and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald Lee Wilson, in 1969.
Surviving are two sons, Donald Ray Wilson and his wife, Bonnie, of Lexington and John L. Wilson and his wife, Kathy, of Linwood; two daughters, Wanda Gobble and her husband, Scott, and Sharon Wilson and her fiancé, William Sullivan, all of Linwood; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margie Myers and her husband, Junior, of Lexington and Peggy Leonard of Raleigh; beloved companion Mac Owle; and a special friend, Robin Church.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the home of a daughter, Wanda Gobble, 7510 Old Salisbury Road, Linwood.
