Annie Branon Roberts

Annie Branon Roberts, age 79 of Second Rainbow Street, Lexington, passed away Monday afternoon at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Doug McGee officiating.  Burial will follow in Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.   Annie was born in Davie County, September 3, 1929 to Miles H. Branon and Pearl Viola Hicks Branon.  She was a member of Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church and a retired employee of Frank IX and Sons.  She was preceded in death by her husband Grady Roberts, her parents, five brothers and one sister.   Surviving are: daughters, Felcie Frizzell and husband James of Corpus Christi, Texas and Viola Swicegood and husband Joe of Welcome; one sister Hattie Harris and husband Olin of East Bend; two grandchildren, Josh Frizzell of Dallas, TX and Vicki Caldwell and husband Jay of Kernersville.   The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm Thursday prior to the service.   Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Diane White for being there for mom and us, and to Kate B.
