Annie Sowers

Annie Frances Foust Sowers, age 89, of Lexington, passed away Sunday December 8, 2019 at her home.A funeral service will be at 11:00 am Thursday December 12, 2019 at Beulah United Church of Christ, where she was a member, conducted by the Revs. Dale Kennedy and Bill Foust. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will see friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home. Mrs. Sowers was an avid Carolina Fan and had requested that everyone coming to the visitation or service wear Carolina Blue.Mrs. Sowers was born April 16, 1930 in Davidson County to William Foust and Gertie Mae Kinney Foust She was a very active member of her church serving as past Sunday School Teacher, Primetimers Group and many other groups within the church. Her parents, her husband of 68 years, Marion Sowers and several brothers and sisters, preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughters, Marilyn Thomason (Steve) of Lexington, Pamela K. Weaver (David) of Welcome and Lisa Fowler (Gene) of Lexington; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; her brother, Don Foust (Jean) of Pinnacle; and her sisters, Charlotte Wagner of Lexington and Willie Mae Stone of Thomasville.Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or Beulah UCC 2828 Arnold Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
